W. Basketball Earns Third Straight NCAA Berth

INDIANAPOLIS – The Colorado School of Mines Women's Basketball team is headed to the NCAA tournament after hearing their name called during the NCAA Selection Show for a third straight year.
 
The Orediggers earned the #4 seed in the South Central Region. They'll face fifth-seeded UT Tyler in the first round of the region tournament. The game will be played in San Angelo, Texas, after Lone Star Tournament Champion Angelo State earned the #1 seed. Whichever teams survives the matchup between Mines and UTT will either face Angelo State or eighth-seeded West Texas A&M.
 
On the other side of the bracket, Texas Woman's earned the #2 seed and plays seventh-seeded Lubbock Christian. RMAC Tournament Champion Regis took the #3 seed and is set to take on sixth-seeded Black Hills State. Game dates and times, ticket information, and coverage details will be announced early this week. Mines enters the national tournament with an overall record of 24-6. The Orediggers finished second in the RMAC's regular season standings. They eventually advanced to the conference tournament championship game where they fell to Regis in Denver, Colo., on Saturday night by a score of 65-61. Overall, it marks Mines' fifth NCAA tournament bid in program history. The Orediggers earned national tournament berths in 2010, 2016, 2021, and 2022. They were the #1 seed in the West Region in 2021.
