PUEBLO, Colo.
- Colorado School of Mines took advantage of ideal conditions to produce a plethora of season-best marks and event wins at the CSU Pueblo on Saturday.

Mines won six events overall and had a number of NCAA provisional qualifying performances as the field athletes and sprinters enjoyed sunshine and springlike temperatures for the first time this outdoor season.

On the track, individual highlights abounded in the 400m and 800m races led by Amena Nelson, who won the 400m by nearly a second and a half, cruising in an NCAA-provisional 55.85 with Grace Galvin fifth in 57.56. Mackenzie Duck and Aryelle Wright both produced NCAA provisional 800m times as they finished second and third, respectively, in the event. Duck ran nearly two-second outdoor personal best of 2:11.32, the new #2 performance in program history, while Wright was a few ticks behind in 2:11.68. Avary Catchings (22nd, 2:25.45) and Miranda Manfre (23rd, 2:26.26) were also in the large 800m field. In the men's 800m it was Andy Gebhardt leading Mines with a fourth-place 1:53.75, and Jonah Fallon was ninth in 1:57.68.

The women's 4x400 ended the meet with a win as Nelson, Galvin, Duck, and Wright would put together the second-fastest time in program history at 3:48.63 for a commanding five-second victory. The time is under the NCAA provisional standard even with the altitude penalty for the 400, and slots in as the new #10 time nationally this season.

The 400m hurdles saw two Orediggers etch their name into the program all-time top-10 list as Everett Delate and Allison Comer had standout performances. Delate, running the distance for the first time since April of 2021, turned in a personal best of 53.63 to finish second, the new #7 all-time Mines performance. In her collegiate debut in the event, Comer ran a third-place 1:06.51 for ninth on the women's list. Coulton Chan was sixth in 55.60, and Elijah Quinby eighth in 56.26.

Elsewhere on the track, Delate took third in the 110m hurdles, running 14.32, with Chan's sixth-place 14.96 representing a big personal best for him and the ninth sub-15.0 performance in program history. The men's 4x400 of Fallon, Gebhardt, Tim Thompson, and Quinby ran 3:20.99 for fourth place, while Avery Wright was 14th in the 100m hurdles at 16.16 and Garrett Halbrooks finished 16th in the 100m dash in 11.00 flat.

Mines produced four field event wins as the pole vault, high jump, and long jump were all topped by Orediggers. Mines' dominance in the pole vault continued as Hunter Potrykus and Hannah Miller won the men's and women's events for the second straight week. In the men's competition, Potrykus cleared 5.00m to edge teammate Noah Kelly, who had a big PR of 4.85m for second. Aidan Bennett was fourth at 4.40m. The women's competition was all Orediggers as well with Miller winning at 4.05m ahead of Avery Herbold (3.95m), with Ava Kowalski fourth (a new PR of 3.60m) and Lauren Kelly sixth (3.30m).

Lexye Wood hit a huge outdoor best to win the women's long jump, marking 5.98m with no wind for the #2 performance all-time at Mines and best jump since 2016. That's also an NCAA provisional mark for Wood, an indoor nationals qualifier, with what is now tied for the #9 performance in D-II this season.

Grant Redmond was another highlight as he tied his personal outdoor best to win the high jump at 2.12m. Redmond cleared 2.06m then passed at 2.09 before clearing 2.12 on his third and final attempt to win before taking three attempts at tying the program record at 2.15m. The women's high jump saw Claire Kintzley take fifth (1.50m) and Abbi Gillespie eighth (1.50m).

In the triple jump, Claire Kintzley was third and Sidney Walshaw fourth as Kintzley was just a centimeter off her personal best at 11.28m and Walshaw hit an all-venues career best of 11.20m. Fischer James Espiritu Argosino led the men's triple taking sixth (14.12m) and Nicholas Nijkamp was seventh at 13.33m. Halbrooks took 14th in the men's long jump (6.63m).

In the circle, Arvid Veidmark IV threw a solid 50.20m for third in the men's discus to lead a productive day for the throwers. Brody Welch finished fourth in the shot put with a 15.58m heave, with Veidmark eighth (14.81m) and Hayden Swim 12th (13.41m). Davin Kiesby was 12th in the men's hammer (49.38m) with Welch 17th (44.28m) and Swim 23rd (39.05m); Kiesby would also place 12th in the discus (42.24m). Garrett Lanker hit 51.39m for sixth in the javelin.

Jennifer Jarnagin took fourth in the women's hammer at 46.76m and was 15th in the javelin with a best of 25.49m. Rylie Ward placed 15th in the hammer (36.37m) with Gillespie 20th (32.54m); in the discus it was Kitt Rupar leading the way in a 16th-place 35.56m a spot ahead of Ward (34.88m). Ruper would also place 13th in the shot put (10.88m) with Avery Wright 19th (9.33m).
