2023 RMAC Softball All-Academic Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its All-Academic First Team for softball Thursday and saw Colorado School of Mines senior utility player
Lauren Decker named to the league's First Team Academic All-Conference list.
This is the third academic honor for Decker in her Mines career after being named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll each of the previous two seasons. The senior from Hood River, Oregon has started all 45 games she's appeared in this season and has shined at the plate and in the circle. On the offensive side of the ball, Decker is batting .300 with 36 hits, 16 runs scored and six RBI while leading the Orediggers with 23 stolen bases, a mark which ranks among the top 10 in the RMAC this season. In the circle, she has made 11 appearances exclusively in relief and is 1-3 and tied for the RMAC lead with three saves and owns a 4.10 ERA while holding opponents to just a .276 average at the plate over 27.1 innings pitched.

Mines will conclude the 2023 regular season at home this weekend as they'll play host to Colorado Mesa and look to secure berth in the RMAC Softball Championship. The series will begin Friday with a doubleheader slated for a 12 p.m. start and conclude Saturday with another doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.
