GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines' Jaden Healy and John Matocha have been named Players of the Week by the RMAC for their performance in the Orediggers' win at CSU Pueblo.

The duo were instrumental in helping #2 Mines trounce the Thunderwolves, 55-14, on the road in Week 4. Healy is the Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career, while Matocha earns the Offensive Player of the Week award for the 11th time in his career and second time this season.

Healy was a defensive menace with five total tackles, a 37-yard interception return for touchdown, a strip-sack caused fumble, and a pass break-up. The outside linebacker helped hold CSU Pueblo to only 94 yards passing, their lowest total in a game since 2019, and 14 points.

Matocha led an explosive Mines offense completing 76 percent of his passes (26-of-34) for 326 yards and three touchdowns, and was a threat in the run game with 43 yards on the ground including a long run of 25 yards. Matocha threw touchdowns of 40, 25, and 19 yards as he produced a pair of 100+ yard receivers in Flynn Schiele and Max McLeod.

Mines is back at Marv Kay Stadium this Saturday to host Chadron State for Homecoming at noon.
