Coaches' Poll | Media Poll

LILBURN, Ga. –
The ninth edition of the 2023-24 WBCA NCAA Division II Top-25 Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll came out earlier this week and the Colorado School of Mines Women's Basketball team earned its highest-ever ranking at #7.

The Orediggers also checked in at #6 in the D2CSC Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll. Mines' previous highest ranking in the coaches' poll was #8 in last week's release. Head Coach Brittany Simpson's squad is surging in the rankings on the merits of a 12-game win streak. They are now 14-1 (9-0 RMAC) and haven't lost a game since Thursday, Nov. 16. Mines' latest wins during the 63-day run came on the road at CSU Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands last Friday and Saturday. The Orediggers downed the ThunderWolves by a score of 61-45 before taming the Cowgirls, 68-47.

Mines remains the only team from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference appearing in the national top-25. Grand Valley State holds the top spot on both lists. Oredigger non-conference foes from earlier this season remain ranked with the coaches slotting MSU Billings #12 and Texas Woman's #14. The media voted MSU Billings #8 with TWU receiving votes.

Coach Simpson's squad is back at home this weekend, hosting Regis on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and UCCS Saturday at 5 p.m. Mines will also welcome its men's and women's basketball alumni back to Lockridge Arena this weekend. Tickets for both games can be purchased online at www.minesathletics.com/tickets or at the door. Free live stats and video on the RMAC Network will also be linked at www.minesathletics.com.
