Final Results
ERIE, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines wrapped up play at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Tuesday, staying in 18th place at the conclusion of 54 holes.
The Orediggers carded a team 297 to finish at +28 in the otherwise entirely D-I field, beating out Southern Utah (+47) and finishing only two strokes back of Central Arkansas (+26).
Colt Tenpenny finished the day as he started as the top Oredigger on the leaderboard, shooting a three-over 75 in his final round to be +2 in a tie for 58th.
Lukas Taggart had the day's best round for Mines at an even-par 72 to rise to T83 (+8), and
Max Lange shot 74 to finish T91 (+10).
Eric Casademont Vinyoles also ended at +10 after a 76, while
Lucas Schulte's final-round 76 took him to 98th place at +14.
Colorado State overcame the host Colorado to win the team title at -36. CU (-32) edged St. Mary's (-31) by a stroke for second with UTEP's Dylan Teeter winning medalist honors after a three-way playoff with Colorado's Justin Biwer and St. Mary's Aidan Lee; each finished at -13.
Mines is back in action next week at West Texas A&M's Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite.
