USTFCCCA National Athletes of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) released its National Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon and Colorado School of Mines' Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge brought home her second honor of the season.

Ramsey-Rutledge's second national accolade of 2024 and third of her career came after she raced to individual gold at the Lewis XC Crossover last Saturday in Romeoville, Ill. She finished the women's 6K race in a time of 20:43.2 to win by more than 11 seconds. There were three 2023 all-Americans on opposing teams in the 334-person field including 2023 NCAA Division II West Region Champion Kendall Kramer who finished runner-up to Ramsey-Rutledge. The Oredigger redshirt senior also anchored a team title for Mines' women who tallied 69 points to literally run away from host and second-place Lewis. It marked Ramsey-Rutledge's second individual title this season after she won the Roadrunners Invitational on Sept. 21. She also notched her second 6K in less than 21 minutes.

The next action for the Oredigger cross country teams will be the 2024 RMAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 26, in Las Vegas, N.M. A full preview and any live coverage information will be released the week leading up to the event.
