COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado School of Mines punter Blake Doud is the RMAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Doud stood out with a 53.5-yard average on six punts in Mines' game against Western Colorado, booting three of 50 or more yards including a 72-yarder that was downed at the WCU 2-yard line. The Mountaineers attempted four returns but managed only six yards as Doud produced the RMAC's third-best single-game average of the season.

This season, Doud leads NCAA Division II - and is sixth among all divisions - in punt average at 47.5 yards per attempt. Mines leads D-II in net punting at 44.68 yards per punt. He is now a six-time RMAC Specialist of the Week in career earning it three times in 2023 and now three times this season.

The Orediggers visit New Mexico Highlands Saturday for a noon kickoff.
