Hayden Gregg has earned the final RMAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the 2024 season.
Playing on his Senior Day, Gregg had a career game as the Orediggers beat Fort Lewis 67-9. The Kansas City, Mo. native had a team-high eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and created two total turnovers, one on a strip-sack fumble in the third quarter, and then on an interception to start the fourth. He led an Oredigger defense that was dominant, holding Fort Lewis to only 135 total yards, 28 rushing yards, and 0-for-14 on third down and 0-for-2 on fourth down.
It is the first weekly award of Gregg's career, and the seventh earned by an Oredigger this season.
Will Ramsey was Mines' other RMAC Defensive Player of the Week recipient back after Week 6.
