National Bracket
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After completing the sweep of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships with a win in Saturday night's title match, the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team was named the #1 seed in the South Central region Monday evening during the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship selection show and for the third consecutive season, will host the opening rounds of the national tournament at Stermole Stadium.
Mines (19-0-1, 11-0-1 RMAC) will host the opening round matchup between the #4 seed Midwestern State (11-4-5, 6-2-5 LSC) and the #5 seed Colorado Mesa (13-2-3, 11-1-0 RMAC) Friday November 22 and will play the winner of that match in the second round at Stermole Stadium on Sunday November 24. Both matches in Golden will be played at 3 p.m. MT.
The rest of the South Central Region sees Lone Star Conference champions Angelo State (13-1-5, 10-0-3 LSC) as the #2 seed and will host the other half of the bracket this weekend. They too earned a first-round bye and will await the winner between third-seeded Dallas Baptist (15-2-3, 10-1-2 LSC), whom the Rambelles edged in penalties in the LSC tournament title game, and sixth-seeded MSU Denver (10-3-7, 8-2-2 RMAC).
