INDIANAPOLIS - Colorado School of Mines is one of 43 NCAA Division II institutions to earn the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence in 2024.
Mines is the only department in the RMAC to win the award, which recognizes schools that have achieved an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90 percent or higher. Mines achieved a 90 percent ASR compared to the 2023 national average of 76 percent.
The ASR is a graduation metric developed by the NCAA to measure individual athletic departments' academic success; it looks at the six-year graduation rate of student-athletes including incoming transfers.
