D2CSC Media Poll Nov. 26
GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team continued to appear in the latest Top 25 polls Tuesday, checking in this week at #15 in the NABC Coaches Poll and #19 in the D2CSC Media Poll.
The Orediggers (3-1) were idle last week following a week two trip to Texas against UT Tyler and UT Dallas. They return to action this evening at Lockridge Arena against UCCS in non-conference action at 7 p.m.
The top of the coaches poll remained unchanged as Nova Southeastern and West Texas A&M held fast in the top two spot, but the rest of the top five underwent a bit of a shakeup. Washburn, Minnesota Duluth and West Liberty, who were fifth, sixth and seventh last week, all moved ahead into third, fourth and fifth this week as MSU Moorhead and California (Pa.) both stumbled with their first losses of the season but still remained in the top 10.
This week's media poll saw the Orediggers rise two spots to #19 this week while similarly the top five saw some shuffling. NSU and WTAMU went 1-2 once again followed by the WLU, WU and Cal State San Bernardino.
Mines remains the only RMAC team ranked both in the NABC and D2CSC polls as MSU Denver earned votes in each of the two polls this week.
The Orediggers will open Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play next week as they hit the road to take on Adams State on Thursday December 5 and New Mexico Highlands on Saturday November .
