COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Reese McDermott took home Regional Player of the Year honors from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2 CCA) as announced Tuesday. Athletic communication professionals from the NCAA Division II South Central Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA All‐Region teams. The process concludes with All‐American selections that will be announced in December. The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners sponsor the All-Region teams.

A total of 11 institutions had at least one student-athlete named to the 13-member first and second teams. Mines led the region with six selections while Dallas Baptist had five selections between the two all-region teams, with Colorado Mesa and Angelo State adding four apiece. A further seven schools had one honoree named to the All-Region teams.

McDermott, the RMAC Tournament MVP, back-to-back Academic Player of the Year and Co-Player of the Year this season following solo POTY honors in 2023, has been prolific in her final season in a Mines uniform. She stands at 18 goals with six assists for 42 points following two goals and an assist in the RMAC tournament and has seven game-winners while starting 20 times in 21 matches for 1,286 minutes. She posted two scoring streaks during the season of at least four matches with her longest streak of six straight running from October 6-25. Four times this season McDermott scored multiple goals, including a seven-point performance with a hat trick and an assist against West Texas A&M on September 15. She ended the regular season as the RMAC leader in goals, points, shots, game-winning goals and was tied for the top spot in shots on goal while being just one of two double-digit scorers in the league during the regular season. She is now a four-time D2 CCA All-Region selection in her career and is the fifth Orediggers to earn Regional Player of the Year honors, joining Emily Garnier (2016), Jaylin Yates (2014), Anna Evans (2013) and Kayla Mitchel (2009).

Bella Campos, who split RMAC Co-Player of the Year honors with McDermott, repeats as a First Team All-Region selection with a second act season that rivaled her debut last fall. The sophomore now has 13 goals and six assists for 32 points with four game-winners across 21 matches with 10 starts for an even 1,100 minutes this fall. Campos scored in back-to-back matches on four occasions during the season including the second hat trick of her career at Adams State on October, the only hat trick in RMAC play by any individual this season. She finished the regular season second in the league in shots, goals and points while being tied for third in game-winners and shots on goal as the second of two double-digit goal scorers in the RMAC alongside McDermott.

Ava Harman, the RMAC's Defensive Player of the Year, earns her first honors from the D2 CCA as she was named a First Team All-Region selection. The graduate student from Vancouver currently ranks third on the team in minutes played with 1,471 and is one of three players to start all 21 contests to date. A winner of both RMAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors this season, she scored a career-high four times with two assists for 10 points with three of her goals being game-winners, a mark which ties her with Campos and three other players for third in the RMAC. She's also helped anchor a defense that has overcome injury and entering play this weekend is allowed just .48 goals and 7.7 shots per match to opponents.

Kaitlyn Manalili, an Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection this fall, heads up the Second Team honorees for Mines and is in the midst of a breakout season in which she scored her first three collegiate goals and is now tied for the team with McDermott and Campos when it comes to assists with six. She's started nine times in 21 matches for 943 minutes and had a six-match stretch from October 11-20 in which she recorded nine points, scoring three times with three assists and never went more than three matches this season without registering a point. She ended the regular season as the RMAC leader in assists.

Lauren Clingman, a Second Team All-RMAC selection, earns her first honors from the D2 CCA with a place on the All-Region Second Team after also being named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team. The senior from Broomfield is second on the team in minutes played with 1,866 and is one of three players to start all 21 matches. Sunday in the NCAA second round she scored her first goal of the season to compliment a pair of assists for five points while putting six of her 10 shots this season on target. Along with Harman, she's helped lead the top defensive unit in the RMAC this season.

Allie Lundgren, a three-time RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week honoree this season, helped direct that stellar defense this season in her first fall as the full-time starter. The junior from California sports a record of 17-0-2 across 19 matches with 18 starts for a 1,660:05 in goal with 52 saves against nine goals allowed for a 0.49 GAA and an .852 save rate with nine solo shutouts and three combined shutouts against 144 shots faced. Her 10 career shutouts currently rank seventh all-time at Mines.

Mines (19-0-2) hosts Angelo State this weekend at Stermole Stadium in the Sweet 16 of the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship Sunday December 1 at 1 p.m.
