NCAA Regional Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After closing out their unbeaten regular season at home over the weekend and retaining the top spot in the national poll Tuesday, the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team again laid claim to another #1 ranking Wednesday, as the first set of ordered regional rankings was released by the NCAA with the Orediggers atop the South Central Region.
The regional rankings determine the top teams from each of the eight regions that qualify for the NCAA Division II Championship. The Orediggers (17-0-1)) wrapped up their regular season Sunday and secured the 2024 RMAC women's soccer regular season championship in doing so. They will await their opponent in the RMAC Tournament semifinals on November 13 at Stermole Stadium.
Three teams from the Lone Star Conference followed the Orediggers in the rankings with Dallas Baptist (11-1-3), Angelo State (9-1-5) and Midwestern State (8-3-5) while RMAC rivals Colorado Mesa (12-2-2) and MSU Denver (9-3-5) check in at fifth and sixth. Two more LSC teams round out this week's eight teams in Texas Woman's (10-3-3) and St. Mary's (TX) (8-5-3).
