Collins Named First Team Academic All-America

AUSTIN, Texas – Quin Collins became 200th student-athlete in the history of the Colorado School of Mines to earn Academic All-America® honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC), capping a distinguished career on the field and in the classroom with the first such honor of his time in Golden.
 
The senior from Austin, Texas is the 14th Mines men's soccer player to achieve Academic All-America® status and extends the streak of consecutive seasons with an Academic All-America® selection to seven.
 
Collins, a First Team Academic All-RMAC honoree this fall with a 3.989 GPA in Quantitative Biosciences & Engineering, earned his third Academic All-District honors in 2024. The senior started 15 times in 19 matches for 1,457 minutes and scored three times with two assists for eight points. His best performance coming against Adams State on October 27 in which he both scored a goal and assisted on a goal. For his career, Collins started 44 times in 71 matches and scored 11 goals with six assists for 28 points and three game-winners across 4,712 minutes.
