Mines Football Leads RMAC Academic Honors

2024 RMAC Football All-Academic Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS -
Colorado School of Mines had a conference-best 40 football student-athletes honored on the RMAC's year-end academic awards list announced Tuesday. 

Safeties Joel Diaz and Will Ramsey and punter Blake Doud earned First-Team Academic All-RMAC honors to lead the Orediggers, who had 37 Academic Honor Roll recipients as well.

Mines' Academic Honor Roll honorees include: Jackson Cimino, William Brown, Caden Best, Brock Ewing, Brock Zanetell, Evan Bish, Chris Nimcheski, Bryce Jewell, Grey Sofia, Sean McNair, Brayden Duerksen, Max Barnes, Steve Street, Hayden Gregg, Ty Deppe, Carter Forsythe, Luke Shavey, Cole Johnson, Joseph Capra, Nick Stone, Will Bisso, Konnor Mickelsen, Clayton Jacobs, Blake Smotherman, Tyson Kestner, Josh Pollard, Patrick Mologne, Jackson Zimmermann, Caleb Frink, Evan Foster, Marcel Davis, Will Drogosch, Jalen Thomas, Pierce Richards, Finn Nicholson, Preston Bowman, James Hess, and Jake Sype.

The RMAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA having completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution while using a season of competition. First-Team Academic All-RMAC honorees meet a higher standard of a 3.50 GPA, and must be outstanding contributors on the field; they are selected by a vote of the conference's sports information directors.
