GOLDEN, Colo. –
Colorado School of Mines Volleyball star Hannah Kinnison was named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District on Tuesday in honor of her performance on the court and in the classroom.

Kinnison earned the second Academic All-District nod of her career and her first as an Oredigger with the announcement on Tuesday morning. She claimed the distinction thanks to her combined athletic and academic achievement. Criteria for the CSC Academic All-District teams require honorees to be sophomores or above with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. Award winners must have also been a significant starter or participated in at least 90 percent of total matches played.

As a Mines graduate student, Kinnison played her final collegiate season as an Oredigger and led the team with 301 kills, 314 digs, 60 blocks, 34 assists, and 14 aces. Her efforts on the court led to Second-Team All-RMAC honors. Prior to arriving in Golden, Kinnison played two seasons at NCAA Division I San Francisco and two more at Angelo State. As a Rambelle, she was named CSC Academic All-District and the Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year.
