GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Colorado School of Mines completed play in the first of two rounds in the Hot Dirt Shootout at Golf Club of Estrella in Arizona on Friday. 

Through 18 holes, #22 Mines is tied for 10th at +18 after a team round of 306. Only one team - #9 DBU - was under par on Friday at -2, with #8 Colorado Christian two shots behind them at even and #20 UT-Permian Basin third at +1. 

It was an up and down day for the Orediggers, who are led on the leaderboard by Lukas Taggart, tied for 26th at +2 after shooting 74.  Max Lange is two shots behind at +4, tied for 42nd following a round of 76, while Ethan Adam and Lucas Schulte rounded out the scoring with a pair of 78s to be T61 (+6). Owen Cornmesser was the non-counter at +13 after an 85 (T101). 

Jake Welch and Carter Lolli are playing as individuals; Welch carded 75 to be tied for 38th (+3) and Lolli is T42 (+4) after a 76.

Saturday's final round starts with tee times at 8 a.m. MT.
