Final Results

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Colorado School of Mines closed the Hot Dirt Shootout in 11th place at Golf Club of Estrella in the first of two tournaments this weekend in Arizona.

Mines cut 13 strokes off of Friday's team score to shoot 293 (+5), ending up 11th at +23 overall. A surging #9 Colorado Christian leaped over #8 Dallas Baptist to win the team title at -10, with DBU second at -6. DBU's Sam Jenkins was the medalist at -8. 

Lukas Taggart led the Orediggers with a one-under 71, mixing four birdies against three bogeys to move up to a T14 finish at +1 overall. Max Lange also moved up the leaderboard to T37 with his one-over 73 to get to +5, and Lucas Schulte's 74 put him in a tie for 56th at +8. Ethan Adam was the fourth man at 75 (T61, +9), and Owen Cornmesser was the non-counter with an 80 to be T101 at +21. 

Jake Welch, playing as an individual, shot 74 to settle at +5 (T37), and Carter Lolli carded 77 to be T61 at +9. 

Mines stays in Goodyear to play in the 54-hole Palm Valley Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
