COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.
– Nine Orediggers were recognized on the 2024 All-RMAC Baseball teams Wednesday just hours before Mines' conference tournament opener.

Mason Andrews and Luke Folsom were First-Team All-RMAC selections. Folsom stood out with first-team nods at both starting pitcher and infielder. He's the first Oredigger to earn First-Team All-RMAC status at two positions in the same season since Nate Ollinger was honored at pitcher and in the outfield in 2016. Alex Honeyman and Tyler Pina were Second-Team All-RMAC for Mines. Keene Tanaka appeared on the Gold Glove team and claimed Honorable Mention All-RMAC distinction. Evan Bilter, I-Ly Hsue, Ben Schoneman, and Jackson Woolwine were Honorable Mention All-RMAC as well.

Superlative awards were spread around the league. The 2024 RMAC Co-Players of the Year were Rob Sharrar (Colorado Mesa) and Mike Bathauer (Adams State). Tyler Curtis (CSU Pueblo) won RMAC Pitcher of the Year. Ethan Nunez (Colorado Mesa) was voted RMAC Freshman Position Player of the Year. Andrew Rodriguez (New Mexico Highlands) claimed RMAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year. Adams State's Bruce DelTondo earned 2024 RMAC Coach of the Year. Teams and awards were voted on by the league's nine head coaches. They could not vote for their own players.

The selections mark the first nods to the top team in Folsom's career. He was Second-Team All-RMAC at designated hitter in 2022. On the mound in 2024, the Littleton, Colo., native is 5-1 with a 5.34 ERA in 10 starts. He's tossed one complete game, struck out 50 batters and walked 15 across 55.2 innings of work. He threw three complete games and helped with one shutout. Honeyman struck out 58 batters and walked 21 across 59.0 innings of work. His strikeouts and total innings pitched were #1 on the team. The Morgan Hill, Calif., native racked up 28 RBI and walked 12 times as well. He enters the postseason with five home runs in his last 10 games. During the same span Pina touts a .416 batting average thanks to 15 hits and an active seven-game hitting streak.

Tanaka, in his sixth year with the Orediggers, not only earned Honorable Mention All-RMAC for the first time, but grabbed distinction as the best defensive catcher in the league.
