USTFCCCA Program of the Year Standings

NEW ORLEANS -
Colorado School of Mines' men's and women's cross country/track & field programs have each finished fifth in the USTFCCCA's Program of the Year awards, which measures overall success across all three seasons of the collegiate calendar.

Under track & field head coach Matt Sparks and cross country head coach Chris Siemers, it marks the best combined finish ever for the two teams, one spot better than a year ago. It is the 14th consecutive top-10 finish for the men's program, who also finished fifth last year, and the second straight and highest-ever finish for the women, who were sixth a year ago.

The men's program recorded a national runner-up finish in cross country, then went on to finish 11th at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships and 22nd at the outdoor meet. They were the top-ranked RMAC program in the standings. The Oredigger women matched their best cross country finish ever in third, then came in 10th at NCAA Indoors and 12th at NCAA Outdoors to be the second-ranked RMAC program.
