The Orediggers left no doubt in Golden this past weekend, overpowering Colorado College in a commanding 75–5 conference victory. From the opening kickoff, Mines controlled every aspect of play—stringing together fluid offensive movement, unrelenting defense, and cohesive teamwork that showcased the depth of the roster.
By halftime, Mines had already built a 50–0 lead, capitalizing on quick ball movement and precision support lines that opened space for repeated breakaway tries. The second half saw more of the same dominance, as the Orediggers maintained tempo, discipline, and composure across the pitch. Colorado College found little room to breathe under Mines' strong defensive pressure and aggressive contests at the breakdown.
The match also provided valuable experience for newer players, several of whom celebrated their first career tries in blue and silver. The team's ability to blend veteran leadership with fresh energy highlighted the depth and balance of this year's squad.
With the win, Mines remains a top contender in the High Peaks D3 conference. The Orediggers now head into fall break with momentum and confidence before returning to action later this month to continue their push toward postseason play.
