Mines Caps Fall With Standout Performances

SEASIDE, Calif. - Colorado School of Mines wrapped up its fall season with a sixth-place finish in a strong field at the Otter Invitational at Bayonet GC.

The Orediggers were +14 in their third round to end up at +35 for the tournament, caught in the middle of a pack of teams with 10 strokes separating fourth from ninth place. No one caught winners Western Washington (+9) with CSU Pueblo (+20) and Cal State East Bay (+24) following them.

Lukas Taggart finished as the top Oredigger on the leaderboard tied for 12th (+5) as he finished his darkness-suspended second round with a birdie on the 18th to card 70, then shot 75 in the third round. The reigning RMAC Golfer of the Week recorded his second straight top-20 finish and the 16th of his career.

Liam Allan had Mines' low round of the day shooting 74, rising to T37 (+12), while Colt Tenpenny turned in a 77 to be T34 at +11. Max Lange had a final-round 76 count as he ended tied for 74th (+21), while Lucas Schulte was Tuesday's non-counting scorer with an 81, putting him T43 (+13).

Western Washington's Conrad Brown and CSU Pueblo Marius Dosiere tied for the lead at -2, the only two players under par for the week.

WINDSOR, Colo.
- Enzo Martínez and Mitch Stock earned top-10 finishes to close out the Battle at the Dance at RainDance National on Tuesday.

Martínez shot one of only six under-par rounds on the day, repeating his second-round 71 to rise to a fourth-place finish at +5, a week after tying for sixth at the Bob Writz Individual. Stock stayed in the top 10 with a T8 finish at +11, shooting a final-round 78.

Devin Nguyen shot 76 to end up T20 at +15, and Alexander Samuelsson was 27th (+18) following an 81. Davis Kushner carded 79 to finish T31 (+23), while Charlie Tran had the same third-round score to finish T35 (+25). 

Rocky Mountain College's Jared Smith won medalist honors at -5, the only player under par on the long, challenging RainDance circuit, which was set up at more than 7,700 yards for the tournament.
