The Colorado School of Mines Men's Club Soccer team wrapped up regular-season play on Sunday evening, falling 3–0 to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs at Stermole Track & Field Complex.
Despite the scoreline, the Orediggers dictated much of the game's tempo, maintaining possession and generating several attacking sequences throughout the match. However, finishing proved elusive as Mines was unable to find the back of the net.
UCCS took advantage of counterattacking opportunities to build their lead, netting three goals against the run of play.
The Orediggers showed strong defensive organization and creative play through the midfield, keeping pressure on UCCS for much of the match. With the regional tournament on the horizon, Mines will look to carry their high-possession style and resilience into postseason play.
