The Colorado School of Mines Women's Club Soccer team is set to take the field in Omaha, Nebraska, this weekend for the 2025 Region V Soccer Tournament, hosted at the CHI Multisport Complex. The Orediggers will compete in a competitive Pool B alongside the University of Missouri, Grand Canyon University, and Iowa State University, with a trip to the national tournament on the line.
Mines opens play on Friday, October 31, at 4:30 PM CT against No. 2–ranked Grand Canyon University. The Orediggers will then face top-seeded Missouri on Saturday, November 1, at 9:00 AM CT, before closing out pool play that afternoon against No. 4–ranked Iowa State at 4:00 PM CT.
The format for the Region V Tournament features three pools, with the pool champions and one runner-up advancing to the final round on Sunday at 9:00 AM CT. Advancement is determined by pool points, goal differential, goals for, goals against, and total wins—making every minute of group play critical.
Led by a strong defensive core and creative attacking group, the Orediggers enter Omaha looking to build on a consistent fall season and challenge some of the region's top-ranked programs. Mines' focus will be on maintaining possession, converting set-piece opportunities, and staying organized across the three-match stretch.
Fans can follow Mines' progress throughout the weekend as the Orediggers compete for a spot in the national tournament.
