The Orediggers continued their push to develop roster depth and future stars this weekend, taking on Colorado College's B side in a 10s round robin at the University of Denver. Mines battled hard but fell 5–10 in a closely contested match that showcased the program's promising growth and competitive edge.

Both teams held strong defensively through a scoreless first half, with Mines showing excellent structure and communication. Early in the second, Colorado College broke through to take the lead, but the Orediggers quickly responded. Sophia Kassow made a blistering breakaway run and dotted down her first-ever try between the uprights, a highlight that electrified the sidelines and reflected the team's attacking potential.

Defensively, Sam Noesen was a force across both of Mines' matches on the day, recording 14 tackles with zero misses and dominating in the breakdown. Landry Riddle and Talena Dillard added heavy hits that set the tone physically, while Saydi Sharpeta delivered an outstanding all-around performance with key defensive efforts and multiple line-breaking runs.

While the scoreboard didn't tilt in Mines' favor, the performance underscored the strength of the program's next wave of players. With growing confidence, improved cohesion, and standout individual contributions, the B side continues to lay the foundation for sustained success and a true Oredigger dynasty.
