Mines Volleyball Claims South Central Region’s #7 Seed

INDIANAPOLIS – Mines volleyball is back in the NCAA tournament after earning the #7 seed in the South Central Region as announced during Monday evening's selection show.
 
The Orediggers (20-7) heard their name called for the first time since 2022. They will face UCCS (26-3) in the first round of the NCAA South Central Region Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 4. The match will be played at the Auraria Event Center on the campus of MSU Denver which earned the region's top seed. Rounding out the rest of the bracket are #3 Angelo State, #4 West Texas A&M, #5 CSU Pueblo, #6 Lubbock Christian, and #8 Colorado Mesa. In a series of conference rematches, the Roadrunners will host the Mavericks, Angelo State will face Lubbock Christian, and West Texas A&M takes on CSU Pueblo.
 
Mines earned its trip to the regional tournament after going 20-7 during the regular season including a 10-4 mark in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Action. The Orediggers hosted Colorado Mesa in a RMAC quarterfinal and fell after five thrilling sets of action last Tuesday. Six All-RMAC players will lead Mines into its first national postseason. Jenna McLaughlin and Amanda Donais Dudley were First-Team All-RMAC, and Hailee Martinez was Second-Team All-RMAC. Jada Price, Francesca Nuzzo, and Abbie O'Shay earned Honorable Mention All-RMAC.
