Six From Mines Earn Academic All-District Laurels

GOLDEN, Colo. – Six members of the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team were recognized Tuesday for their academic and athletic achievements as Sam Forde, Callie Fuhr, Jolie Jiricek, Allie Lundgren, Kaitlyn Manalili and Natalie Rouse were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division II.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes who meet both athletic and academic standards laid out by the CSC Academic All-America Core Committee will be selected to advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
 
Forde carries a 3.51 GPA in Mechanical Engineering and was named an RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient this fall. The sophomore out of Thousand Oaks, California played quality minute at several positions this fall and started 12 times in 21 matches for 1,337 minutes across the midfield and defensive back line.
 
Fuhr, an RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient this fall with a 3.93 GPA in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, was one of six players to start all 21 matches this fall for the Orediggers and in 1,839 minutes, scored three times by way of penalty kicks for three points. One of three members of the Mines defensive back line honored, the Colorado Springs native played every spot this fall on a unit that recorded a 0.76 GAA and nine shutouts. Fuhr closed her career with four goals and five assists for 13 points in 88 matches with 79 starts for 7,097 minutes.
 
Jiricek graduated in May of this year with a degree in Computer Science backed by a 3.91 GPA and began her postgraduate studies in Data Science this fall. An Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection in 2025, Jiricek helped anchor a defense that recorded a 0.76 GAA and nine shutouts. The Windsor native ends her career with a goal and seven assists for nine points in 81 matches with 42 starts for 4,741 minutes.
 
Lundgren, the 2025 RMAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, fields a 3.93 GPA in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering and was named an RMAC First Team All-Academic selection earlier this month. The senior from Coto de Caza, California finished 2025 second among RMAC goalies in saves with 83, the fifth-most in a single season in program history. In 21 matches, she clocked 1,753:49 with six solo shutouts and a 14-2-5 record backed with a 0.77 GAA and an .847 save percentage. In 46 career matches, Lundgren clocked 3,857:45 in goal with a 33-4-7 record, 16 shutouts, 148 saves, a 0.64 GAA and an .841 save percentage. Her time in Golden ends with her fourth on the all-time save list, sixth in shutouts and fifth in goals against average.
 
Manalili carries a 3.94 GPA in Geophysical Engineering and was named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll earlier this fall. The senior from Shoreline, Washington followed up a breakout junior season with an even better finale campaign. A Second Team All-RMAC honoree, she tallied 10 assists for 10 points and became just the eighth player in program history with 10 or more assists in a single season. Manalili closed her career with three goals and 19 assists for 25 points in 84 matches with 38 starts for 3,592 minutes.
 
Rouse, a 2023 CSC First Team Academic All-America® selection who graduated in May 2025 with a degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and a 3.98 GPA, is in her first semester of graduate school studying Operations Research Nuclear Engineering. An RMAC First Team All-Academic selection earlier this month, Rouse returned from injury this fall to finish second on the team in goals scored with five for 10 points. Three of her five goals were game-winners and four of five came by way of set pieces as the Carlsbad, California native was one of five Orediggers to start all 21 matches this fall and led the team with 1,909 minutes played. Along with Jiricek and Fuhr, she was a lynchpin in a defense that recorded a 0.76 GAA and nine shutouts.
