The Colorado School of Mines Esports program wrapped up a busy week of competition across multiple titles, earning key wins in League of Legends, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Counter-Strike, while Overwatch and Rocket League concluded their regular seasons.
The League of Legends Varsity team continued their unbeaten streak, sweeping Utah State University 2–0 in a decisive showing that improved their record to 6–0. Every player controlled their lane with precision, building tempo advantages and executing clean teamfights throughout. A highlight came during the second dragon fight of Game 1, when Colin Ngo, piloting Varus, turned a close skirmish with a perfectly placed ultimate that secured a double kill for Mines.

In Rocket League Varsity, Mines fell 0–3 to San Jose State University in their season finale, closing with a 3–4 record. Despite the loss, the Orediggers displayed solid teamwork and improvement throughout the season.
The Rainbow Six Siege Varsity squad earned another win—this time by forfeit against the University of Central Florida—extending their record to 7–0 and securing first place in their division heading into their final regular-season match against the University of Texas (Tyler).
The Overwatch Varsity team wrapped up their season with a tough 0–3 loss to the University of Redlands. Despite the defeat, the Orediggers finished 3–4 overall, tying for fourth place in their conference. Redlands' chaotic style challenged Mines' coordination, but the match produced several entertaining moments on stream.

In Valorant Junior Varsity, Mines secured a 2–0 sweep over the University of Alberta (UAESA). Map 1 ended 13–9 on Corrode and Map 2 was a nail-biting 14–12 win on Haven. The team's MVP was Glenn "Asterisks", who delivered consistent performances across both maps.
The Valorant Varsity team earned a statement 2–1 victory over Utah State University on Thursday. After falling behind early on Map 1 (Corrode), Mines rallied to win 13–9 behind Jackson "FrameData" and his +7 differential on Phoenix. Diego "Loophole388" pulled off a massive triple kill to swing a crucial round.

Though Mines dropped Map 2 (Split) 10–13, FrameData and Noah "IDK" both shined with multikills and strong defensive calls.

Map 3 (Abyss) ended in a dramatic 14–12 win for Mines, capped off by a clutch 3-kill round from IDK, who stopped the bomb plant and sealed the victory.

Finally, the Counter-Strike Varsity team bounced back from last week's loss with a commanding 2–0 sweep over Dakota State University (13–5, 13–9). The Orediggers finished their season at 3–4, placing fifth in their conference standings.
While some seasons concluded this week, others remain alive in playoff contention. League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, and Valorant JV remain undefeated, each vying for first seed in their respective divisions. Valorant Varsity will look to secure a postseason berth in their final two matches next week.
