COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After helping guide the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team a 2-0-1 finish to the regular season, junior striker
Bella Campos has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week presented by Genesee Nutrition.
It is the first time this season Campos has earned weekly honors and the second time in her career. The Highland Village, Texas product ended the regular season with a bang over the Orediggers' final three matches against New Mexico Highlands, Adams State and CSU Pueblo. Last Friday against the Cowgirls, Campos scored twice while assisting on a third goal all in the first 29 minutes of the match to finish with five points and become the fifth player in program history to record 100 points in a career in a 3-0 win. Sunday against the Grizzlies, Campos scored again in a 3-1 win as she reclaimed sole possession of first in the conference in goals scored. Wednesday against the ThunderWolves, Campos scored once more, this time straight off a free kick in a 1-1 draw.
Over the three matches, she scored four times with an assist for nine points and put seven her 14 shots taken on goal. She ended the regular season with 16 goals to lead the RMAC, matching her career single-season best mark she set as a freshman. Campos also scored in four consecutive matches to end the season and seven of the final 10 going back to October 5.
Mines (12-2-3, 9-1-2) will begin postseason play Sunday at Stermole Stadium in the quarterfinals of the 2025 RMAC Women's Soccer Championship. They will play the winner of Friday's play-in match between Adams State and CSU Pueblo.
