GOLDEN, Colo. – The #7 Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team punched their ticket to the semifinal of the 2025 RMAC Women's Soccer Championship Sunday at Stermole Stadium with a 4-1 win over Adams State. Squaring off for the second time in eight days, the Orediggers (13-2-3) saw
Caelan DeBolt net the game-winner early in the second half while
Bella Campos added a hat trick to advance past the Grizzlies (9-8-3).
Though it was Adams State who attempted the first shot of the match against
Allie Lundgren, it was Mines who struck first in the 21st minute after setting an aggressive tone early in the match. After a near-miss moments earlier, Campos gathered a ball that deflected off an Adams State player out near midfield before racing ahead and burying a shot on the near post past Ashlyn Bartley for the opening goal of the match. Another banger by Campos shortly after the restart caromed off the crossbar while
Afton Rasco and
Annelise Rojo continued to press home the attack as the Orediggers led 1-0 heading to the intermission.
Coming out of the break, Rasco hit another shot off the crossbar in the 47th minute before Adams State countered on their next possession to tie the match at 1-1. Ashlyn De Lemos played a shallow cross out of the far corner to Lorena Vargas-Galvan just atop the six who didn't necessarily hit well but hit it well enough to arc over the arms of Lundgren and just tuck under the crossbar to the equalizer. The exuberance of the Adams State sideline was extinguished just 82 seconds later as the Orediggers retook the lead on a back post goal by DeBolt off a corner kick by
Kaitlyn Manalili in the 49th minute.
Campos made it a two-goal lead in the 60th minute after being awarded and converting her fourth penalty kick of the season with some help from the back post. The junior striker was taken down just inside the box by Elysa Valenzuela to earn the penalty, the ninth for Mines this season as they continue to lead Division II in that category. In the 67th minute Campos all but iced the match as she scored on a beautiful through ball from midfield by Manalili to complete her hat trick as the Orediggers punched their ticket to Grand Junction with a 4-1 win.

-DeBolt's goal was her second of the season and her first game-winner as she returned to the starting lineup for the first time since September 18
