Â
COLORADO SPRINGS – Sierra Wall,
Cody Wyman, and
Chris Siemers headlined the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Cross Country postseason awards for the Colorado School of Mines men's and women's cross country teams.
Â
Wall was voted RMAC Women's Cross Country Freshman of the Year. Wyman earned RMAC Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Year. Siemers was honored as the 2025 RMAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year. Additionally,
Grace Strongman and
Paul Knight were recognized again as RMAC Runners of the Meet after winning their individual titles. Wyman was also the RMAC Freshman of the Meet as the top freshman finisher on the men's side with
Margaux Basart earning the RMAC Summit Award for the Women. Furthermore, 17 Orediggers were recognized as All-RMAC runners. The all-conference teams were selected from the top 28 finishers at the 2025 RMAC Cross Country Championship. Coach, Runner, and Freshman of the Year awards were voted upon by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for themselves or their own athlete.
Â
The RMAC Freshman of the Year award for Wall followed a campaign featuring First-Team All-RMAC, USTFCCCA All-Region, and USTFCCCA All-America finishes. The true freshman finished ninth at the conference meet, 13th at the regional championships, and 20th in the nation at the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Those were her only three races of the entire season.
Â
Wyman produced a similar to Wall's. He was Second-Team All-RMAC and USTFCCCA All-Region and made his debut at the national race as a redshirt freshman. He finished 20th at the RMAC Cross Country Championships, 12th at the regional race, and was 51st in the nation at the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Only one other freshman finished ahead of Wyman at the national meet. The Lake George, Colo., native also competed at the FHSU Tiger Open and Lucian Rosa Invitational, finishing sixth and 42nd, respectively.
Â
Siemers, an eight-time RMAC Men's Coach of the Year claimed his first RMAC Women's Coach of the Year after a historic campaign for Mines' women. Under Siemers' guidance, the Oredigger women won their first-ever RMAC Cross Country Championship. That effort was anchored by
Grace Strongman's individual title and five scoring runners in the top-10. Mines became just the third women's program since 1981 to win a RMAC cross country title. They qualified for the national meet by taking third as a team at the regional race in Pueblo, Colo. Siemers and his squad made even more program history as the women finished second in the nation at the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships – their highest finish ever. Furthermore, Strongman was the individual national runner-up and Mines had a program-best five all-American finishes.
