D2football.com Elite 100 Team
GOLDEN, Colo. - For the third time this postseason, Colorado School of Mines punterÂ
Lucas LeSieur has appeared on an all-America team, this time as a second-team pick of D2football.com on their Elite 100 squad.
LeSieur was also named a First-Team All-American by both the Walter Camp Foundation and Don Hansen's earlier this month. The redshirt freshman led NCAA Division II in his first season as a starter with a 44.8-yard average, punting 40 times and putting 13 inside the 20 with 10 over 50 yards. LeSieur was the RMAC and D2football.com Specialist of the Week after his debut at West Texas A&M that included a season-long 65-yard punt; he averaged 50+ yards in two games, against Chadron State and Black Hills State.Â
A redshirt freshman, LeSieur is the second Mines specialist this postseason to earn all-America honors after batterymateÂ
Josh Hildebrand was named AFCA Second-Team All-America earlier this week. Mines has now had a punter named all-America in three consecutive seasons afterÂ
Blake Doud earned consensus honors in 2023 and 2024.
