GOLDEN, Colo. – It is Championship Week for the Colorado School of Mines Esports program, as three different squads prepare to compete for league titles in Grand Final matchups this Monday and Tuesday.
Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity League of Legends teams have advanced to their respective championship rounds, alongside the Rainbow Six Siege squad. All three teams will look to bring championship hardware home to Golden in what promises to be a defining week for the program.
Here is the breakdown of the upcoming championship slate:
League of Legends
Date: Monday, Dec. 8 Time: 6:30 PM MST
It will be a busy night on the Rift as both Mines League of Legends rosters compete simultaneously for their titles.

Varsity Championship: The Varsity squad faces a major test against Ohio State University. The Orediggers will need to be at their tactical peak to take down the Buckeyes in this high-stakes showdown.

Junior Varsity Championship: The JV squad takes on the University of Wisconsin-Superior. After a strong playoff run, the team looks to cap off the season with a victory over the Yellowjackets.
Rainbow Six Siege
Date: Tuesday, Dec. 9 Time: 6:30 PM MST
Following the MOBA action, the tactical shooter squad takes center stage. The Mines Rainbow Six Siege team has secured their spot in the Grand Finals.
