NEW ORLEANS - Hayley Rayburn's historic pole vaulting performance at the Mines Winter Classic has earned her the USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week award for NCAA Division II.

Rayburn is the third Oredigger woman to win the award, joining vaulter Hannah Miller (who won it in 2024) and distance runner Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge (who won earlier this season).

Rayburn set a new Mines and RMAC all-venues record with her 4.40m clearance on Friday, surpassing the previous record of 4.30m twice in her series as she also took out 4.33m. Rayburn is the fourth woman in NCAA Division II history to reach 4.40m, and now tied for third all-time in divisional history. She improved on her lifetime PR (and Mines indoor record) of 4.28m set at the Mines Alumni Classic in December.

The Orediggers will compete this weekend at Kansas State's Steve Miller Invitational.
