2024-25 NABC All-District Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its Division II All-District teams Monday and saw two members of the Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team honored for their performances during the 2024-25 season as Majok Deng and Riley Schroeder were respectively named First and Second Team All-South Central Region.

Mines was one of three South Central regional schools with multiple honorees, joining Dallas Baptist and St. Mary's (TX). All-District honors were voted on by NABC member coaches from across Division II.

Deng's long and well-traveled career sees him earn All-District honors from the NABC for a second consecutive season following Second Team laurels a year ago. The RMAC Player of the Year, First Team All-RMAC selection, RMAC Tournament Most Valuable Player and D2 CCA South Central Region Player of the Year, Deng led the Orediggers in scoring this season at 14.9 PPG and shot .466/.379/.886 with a career-high 132 rebounds, 29 steals, 20 assists and eight blocks in 23.9 MPG and was the only player to start in all 34 games. 22 times he scored in double digits and went north of 20 nine times, highlighted by his season-best 33 against Adams State on February 1 in which he went 9-14 from the floor, 4-7 from three and 11-11 at the free throw line with five rebounds in 24 minutes. He also went for 22 and 23 in the semifinals and finals of the RMAC Tournament against Black Hills State and Regis and dropped 15 against Dallas Baptist in the South Central regional final last Tuesday.

Schroeder closed the book on his five-year career by turning in his best season in a Mines uniform in 2024-25, starting 30 times in 31 games and averaging 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.5 minutes per night while shooting .525/.395/.719 with 110 rebounds, 62 assists, 19 steals and 17 blocked shots. A First Team All-RMAC selection and RMAC All-Tournament Team honoree as well, Schroeder went over the 1,000-point mark in his career in the RMAC quarterfinals against Chadron State, one of four games this postseason in which he scored in double digits. For the season, he posted 21 games with 10 or more points including a trio of 20-point outings. He went for a season-high 22 on February 13 against Black Hills State, doing so on 7-10 shooting and 6-6 from the line.
