USTFCCCA Program of the Year Standings

NEW ORLEANS - The Colorado School of Mines men are first and the women fifth after the indoor season in the USTFCCCA's Program of the Year standings.

The award combines NCAA team finishes in all three seasons - cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field - to crown the best overall program nationally each spring. Teams get the same number of points as their finish, and the Mines men lead the standings with four points (first in cross country, third indoors) and the women are fifth with 16 (fifth in cross country, 11th indoors). It marks the Mines men's lowest point total through the first two seasons after they notched their best-ever NCAA Indoor finish earlier this month.

Adams State and Grant Valley State are tied for second in the men's standings (7) followed by Pitt State (8) and Wingate (9). Adams State tops the women's standings (5) with Grand Valley State (7), West Texas A&M (8.5), and CSU Pueblo (9.5) ahead of Mines. 

The Orediggers continue the outdoor season Thursday hosting the Mines Midweek Meet at Stermole Track.
