INDIANAPOLIS - The qualifiers have been announced for the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, with Colorado School of Mines having 18 individuals and a relay headed to Indianapolis for the meet.

The championship, part of the NCAA's Division II National Championships Festival along with wrestling and swimming, will be a three-day format this year starting Thursday, March 13 and running through Saturday, March 15. It will be held for the first time at the new Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. The full event schedule can be seen here.

Mines' men's track group is led by a number of veteran selections. In the 60m hurdles, Everett Delate earns his third consecutive indoor selection having finished fifth a year ago. Loic Scomparin double qualified in the 3,000m and 5,000m as he looks to add to his 12 career all-America finishes; Scomparin was a podium finisher in both events last year, and won both events at the RMAC Championships. Paul Knight joins him in the 5K, qualifying for his second straight NCAA Indoors after finishing 11th in 2024. Tim Thompson returns to the national 800m race for the first time since 2023 after winning RMAC gold. Another RMAC gold medalist, Jonah Fallon, will make his nationals debut in the 400m. Mines' lone relay entry will be the men's DMR with Brock Drengenberg, Elijah Quinby, and Alberto Campa joining Thompson on the baton.

For the women on the track, top-seeded Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge tops the 5,000m field as the national recordholder qualifies for the fourth time in her career, and Margaux Basart joins her in the 5K, her second straight NCAA Indoor trip after qualifying in the 3,000m last year. First-time indoor qualifiers include Emily LaMena in the 3K and Grace Strongman in the mile.

Mines' strong group of field entrants are highlighted by a four-person throws group, competing in four different events. The shot put will see 2024 outdoor all-American Kitt Rupar and first-time qualifier Franklin Rambo, while the weight throw has RMAC champion and first-time qualifier Jennifer Jarnagin joining 2024 Division III bronze medalist Holden Murphy. The Orediggers always show well in the pole vault and 2025 will be no different as three-time all-American Hunter Potrykus competes for the men, while second-seeded Hayley Rayburn and 2024 outdoor qualifier Dale Thompson go for the women. Avery Wright heads back to her second NCAA Indoors in the pentathlon after winning RMAC gold, and for the first time in program history, Mines will have a woman compete in the NCAA indoor triple jump competition as program recordholder Claire Kintzley qualifies for her first meet.

The Orediggers had a terrific 2024 indoor showing as the women finished 10th and the men 11th. Mines' women are coming off their third consecutive RMAC team title on Saturday, while the men scored a best-ever 160 team points to finish second.
