USTFCCCA Ratings Index
NEW ORLEANS - Colorado School of Mines track & field continued to move up in the USTFCCCA's national ratings index as the Oredigger women hit their highest-ever outdoor ranking this week.
The Mines men jumped from #12 to #5 this week, and the women moved from #9 to a best-ever #6 based on strong performances at the Kit Mayer Classic last weekend. The Oredigger women previously hit #7 four times, most recently last season, as their previous high.
The ratings index is based off of the strength of performances on the national list. The Mines men have a whopping 26 NCAA provisional performances led by the 10,000m squad of
Logan Bocovich,
Paul Knight, and
Loic Scomparin, who rank #2, #4, and #5, respectively, along with
Max Bonenberger's #3 steeplechase time and
Holden Murphy's #9 hammer throw. The Oredigger women hold 18 NCAA provisional performances including
Jennifer Jarnagin and
Abbi Gillespie's top-5 hammer throw marks,
Emily LaMena and
Margaux Basart's top-5 steeplechase times, and
Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge's #1 10,000m time.
The Orediggers are split up this weekend as Mines hosts the Midweek Meet #2 on Thursday at Stermole Track, while also competing at the three-day Bryan Clay Invitational in California beginning Wednesday.
