AZUSA, Calif. - Colorado School of Mines wrapped up their third and final day at the Bryan Clay Invitational highlighted by
Brock Drengenberg and
Alberto Campa's 1,500m runs.
In the evening metric mile session, Drengenberg ran a significant personal best 3:44.92, moving to #4 on the Mines all-time list, as he added another NCAA D-II top-15 performance to his 800m time from earlier in the season. In the following heat, Campa went 3:46.89, also a personal-best and NCAA-provisional time that moves him to #7 all-time at Mines.
Earlier in the day,
Everett Delate won his heat and placed fourth overall in the 110m hurdles, running 13.98 seconds under legal wind. The time was Delate's second-fastest of the season.
Allison Comer clocked a season-best 1:01.34 in the 400m hurdles, finishing 14th overall as she ran the second-fastest time in program history only 0.14 seconds off her own program record set last season. A day after running the 800m in a new personal-best time,
Tim Thompson competed in the 400m and ran 50.56.
The Orediggers' throwers compete on Saturday at the Loper Invitational in Kearney, Neb., and Mines will host the RMAC Outdoor Championships starting next Friday, April 25.
