BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Colorado School of Mines is one shot off the team lead after a terrific opening round at the 2025 RMAC Championships at Boulder Creek GC in Nevada.
All four of Mines' scorers are in the top 10 through 18 holes as they trail #1-ranked Colorado Christian by a single shot, checking in at -11 for the first round. The Orediggers, who held the team lead for a portion of the afternoon, are three shots ahead of Fort Lewis (-8) in third with CSU Pueblo fourth (-4).
The trio of
Max Lange,
Colt Tenpenny, and
Lucas Schulte all shot rounds of 69 (-3) on Sunday to be tied for sixth, leading the Orediggers with red numbers on the leaderboard. Lange's round was highlighted by an eagle on the 582-yard 11th, while both Tenpenny and Schulte played consistent golf with five birdies against two bogeys each.
Carter Lolli was also in the red shooting a two-under 70, bouncing back from a +1 front nine to go three-under on his way in to be tied for 10th.
Lukas Taggart was the non-scorer with a 73 (+1).
CCU's Sangha Park leads all individuals at -5, with four players tied at -4 ahead of the Mines trio at -3.
Mines will tee off the second round Monday starting at 11:24 a.m. PT.
