Hits Aplenty In Mines Club Baseball Victory Over Air Force

Both Mines Club Baseball and Air Force had their offenses going on Saturday at Jim Darden Field, but Mines Club Baseball eventually prevailed 13-9. Mines Club Baseball collected 12 hits, while Air Force had 14.

Carter Rohrig collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Rohrig tripled in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Williams pitched four and one-third innings in relief for Mines Club Baseball. The right-handed pitcher surrendered 10 hits and six runs while, striking out two and walking one. Willms started on the mound for Mines Club Baseball. The hurler gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Kurt Bliss began the game for Air Force. The pitcher allowed six hits and six runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four.
