All-RMAC Teams
COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado School of Mines golfers
Colt Tenpenny,
Lukas Taggart, and
Lucas Schulte have been named Second-Team All-RMAC in the year-end awards from the conference.
The trio led the Orediggers on the course in 2024-25 as Mines finished fourth at the RMAC Championships and qualified for their first NCAA Regional tournament since 2019.
Tenpenny, in his first year as an Oredigger, led the team with a 72.47 scoring average and notched two top-10s and a top-five finish. He owned three of Mines' 10 lowest rounds of the year featuring his 67 at last week's NCAA West/South Central Regional, where he was the Orediggers' top finisher at T15. Regular-season highlights include his runner-up finish at the FHSU Tiger Classic and sixth place at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite; he finished T18 at the RMAC Championships, and found himself in the top 25 seven times overall including in each of Mines' final four tournaments.
Schulte had a breakout senior season and especially so in the spring as he lowered his scoring average to 73.28. Schulte recorded his best-ever individual finish at the RMAC Championships coming in 10th as he was under par in all three rounds, and followed that up with a strong T20 showing at the NCAA Regional. His season included six top-25 tournament finishes including T17 at The Stack Cougar-Burro Collegiate and T21 at the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout.
Taggart, now a three-time all-RMAC honoree in his Mines career, averaged 74.07 as a junior as he notched four top-25 individual finishes. Taggart had a run of three straight top-20s around the winter break finishing 16th at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite before T14 showings at both the Otter Invitational and Las Vegas Desert Classic; he finished 23rd at the RMAC Championships, as well.
