2024-25 Final Standings
GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines Athletics has achieved its sixth consecutive top-10 finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup, finishing eighth for the 2024-25 school year in the ranking of overall athletic department performance in NCAA Division II.
Mines scored 248 points in the fall, 263.5 points in the winter, then added top-25 finishes by men's and women's track & field plus an NCAA regional appearance by men's golf to tally 159.5 more points for a year-end total of 671.
Mines' eighth-place showing is the program's sixth consecutive and seventh overall top-10 finish in the Cup standings. This year, 251 NCAA Division II members scored points based on their qualifications and performances in national championships. Among Mines' top scoring performances in 2024-25, men's cross country claimed the national championship, men's indoor track & field finished third nationally, women's cross country was fifth, and women's soccer was a national quarterfinalist; 10 different Oredigger teams scored points via their national championship finishes.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's national finish in up to 15 sports in NCAA Division II championships. Grand Valley State won the cup with 1,080.5 points followed by Wingate (837.25) and West Texas A&M (806.25). Mines topped the RMAC with CSU-Pueblo 12th and Adams State 13th also in the top 25.
