7/28/2025 9:40:00 AM

One of the most prolific passers in college football history, Justin Dvorak '16 is the first member announced for the 2025 class of the Harry D. Campbell Oredigger Hall of Fame

Dvorak established a new standard for quarterbacks in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and NCAA Division II. The 2016 Harlon Hill Trophy winner as D-II's best player, Dvorak was a two-time all-American setting the Mines and RMAC career records for passing passing yards (13,466), passing touchdowns (134), and total offense (14,608), while also establishing the program record for career completion percentage (66.1%), completions (1,068), and total TDs responsible for (161). He also holds the Mines single-game record for passing touchdowns in a game with eight against South Dakota Mines in the inaugural game at Marv Kay Stadium in 2015.

His breakout came in 2014 when the Orediggers won the RMAC title and advanced to the NCAA playoffs behind Dvorak's national-leading 4,287 yards and 389.3 yards of total offense per game, but his finest campaign was his 2016 senior season when he led NCAA Division II with 4,584 yards and 53 touchdowns (which remains the Mines single-season record), leading the Orediggers to the second round of the national tournament and the RMAC title. That season earned him Associated Press, D2CCA, and D2football first-team all-America nods along with the D2CCA Ron Lenz National Offensive Player of the Year award on the way to becoming Mines' second Harlon Hill winner. Dvorak was honored as the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Male Collegiate Athlete of the Year for 2016-17, as well.

Dvorak earned a B.S. in petroleum engineering in 2016 and is a drilling engineer for the Hess Corporation in Houston. He serves on the Program Advisory Board for the Mines Petroleum Engineering department.

The Harry D. Campbell Oredigger Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will continue to be announced on minesathletics.com during the week of July 28, leading up to the ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 4 as part of Homecoming Weekend. Tickets are now on sale for the event.
