COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Poll was announced Thursday and heading into 2025, the reigning champions were voted to defend their crown as the Colorado School of Mines women's program graced the top of the 13-team poll.

The Orediggers went 20-1-2 and 11-0-1 last fall on their way to sweeping the RMAC championships for the second time in the last three seasons and advancing to the national quarterfinals for the second time in that span as well. Mines also made history in 2024, as they attained the program's first-ever #1 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25, a distinction which they held for six consecutive weeks starting in late September and continuing into the postseason.

Mines tallied nine of 13 first places ledgers in the preseason voting along with a pair of second place votes and single third place tally. UCCS followed in second with three first place votes, five seconds and a trio of third while Colorado Mesa earned one, three and two respectively to rank third in the voting.

MSU Denver was fourth with a second place ballot and a trio of thirds followed by RMAC tournament runners-up Fort Lewis in fifth with a pair of each. Westminster had a lone third place tally and was picked sixth with Regis in seventh and Colorado Christian earning the final third place tally in eighth.

CSU Pueblo was voted ninth followed by Western Colorado in 10th with Black Hills State in 11th while Adams State and New Mexico Highlands rounded out the poll in 12th and 13th respectively.

Additionally, the conference office announced pre-season All-Conference selections which featured 2024 Freshman of the Year and 2025 Co-Player of the Year Bella Campos. Already a two-time All-American and four-time First Team All-Region pick by the United Soccer Coaches and D2 CCA, Campos followed up her freshman season by scoring 14 times with a career-high seven assists for 35 points last fall and netted five game-winners. Four times she scored a goal and recorded an assist while stringing together a five-match scoring streak as well. She started 10 times in 23 matches for 1,228 minutes and scored in six of eight matches to end the year and recorded the only hat trick in the RMAC in 2024 with three goals at Adams State on October 27 and scored in three of five postseason contests as well.

Mines opens the 2025 season Thursday September 4 in San Angelo, Texas with a rematch of last year's South Central Regional title game against #18 Angelo State at 7 p.m. CT. The Orediggers make their home debut September 10 at 7 p.m. at Stermole Soccer Stadium against 2023 national champion Western Washington before getting RMAC play underway on September 28 at home against Fort Lewis at 1 p.m.
