Final Results
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Colorado School of Mines wrapped up the season-opening Travis Roy Memorial Invite in sixth place on Tuesday, closing out play at Powder Horn GC.
Max Lange's one-under 71 led the Orediggers on an improved second day of the tournament; after shooting 301 on Monday, Mines tallied 294 on Tuesday to advance two places on the leaderboard and wind up sixth at +19.
Mines' scorers finished clustered together as
Lukas Taggart's even-par 72 lifted him to a tie for 21st (+5), followed by
Colt Tenpenny at T24 after a second-round 78 to land at +6.
Liam Allan was T27 (+7) following a 75, and
Giacomo Gaggero and Lange finished tied for 30th (+8) as Gaggero carded 76 and Lange went into the red at 71.
Colorado Mesa surged to the team title at -13 to beat out CSU Pueblo (-13); Mesa's Dylan Everett won medalist honors by five strokes at -8.
Mines returns to action next Monday with the San Juan Intercollegiate in Montrose, Colo.
