Mines Women's Club Soccer put together a strong weekend of play, securing a 1–1 draw against the University of Denver on Saturday, Sept. 20, before topping the Air Force Academy on Sunday, Sept. 21.

In the matchup with Denver, the game was deadlocked 0–0 until the closing minutes when DU found the net with 10 minutes remaining. The Orediggers answered in dramatic fashion, as Leah Sullivan buried a buzzer-beating goal off a corner kick to level the score at 1–1.

Mines carried that momentum into Sunday's contest against Air Force. Dagen Gerber gave the Orediggers the edge with a spectacular strike into the upper corner, with the Orediggers being down 2-1 at the half. The game was later canceled at halftime due to the absence of an on-site trainer, and will be decided if it is a forfeit for Airforce by the club board.

With the draw and the victory, Mines Women's Club Soccer showcased resilience and quality finishing in back-to-back road performances.
