The Colorado School of Mines Triathlon Team kicked off their season in style on September 21st at the annual Oktoberfest Sprint Triathlon in Longmont, CO, earning an impressive 4
th place overall in a competitive collegiate field.
The highlight of the day came from
Anna Haemer, who delivered an incredible performance to take 2
nd place overall in the women's division, securing a spot on the podium and setting the tone for the team.
But the success didn't stop there. Across the board, Oredigger athletes posted strong finishes and personal bests, showing off the depth and determination of the squad. Every racer left it all out on the course, and the collective effort proved that Mines Triathlon is ready to make waves this season.
With momentum on their side, the Orediggers now look ahead to their next challenge — the Pumpkin Man Triathlon on October 25th. If Oktoberfest was any indication, Mines Triathlon is set for an exciting season.
Great work, Orediggers — the season is off to a fantastic start!
