MONTROSE, Colo.
- Top-ten finishes by Liam Allan and Colt Tenpenny led Colorado School of Mines on the final day of the San Juan Intercollegiate at The Bridges GC.

Allan finished a phenomenal 64 in his second round on the way to finishing in a tie for fifth, while Tenpenny was tied for ninth to lead Mines' scorers. Completing the suspended second round and rolling into the third, the Orediggers slipped to seventh place (-1) after cumulative scores of 286 and 290 on Tuesday.

Allan, playing as an individual, continued his torrid pace at the resumption of his second round, birdying the sixth and seventh before an eagle on nine and birdie on 11 took him as low as eight under; a bogey on the 12th ultimately finished his round at -7. The freshman would card 74 in his final round to end up -6 for the tournament in a tie for fifth.

Allan's freshman's 64 was the Orediggers' lowest score since George Markham shot 63 (also -7 on a par 70 course) at the 2016 Maverick Invitational; Nick Berry also carded 64 at the 2015 RMAC Championships with a program-record -8 result.

Tenpenny led the scoring lineup with a 69 and 71 on Tuesday, ending up tied for ninth at -5 and notching his third top-10 finish as an Oredigger. Giacomo Gaggero and Lucas Schulte both finished at -1 (T24th) as Gaggero carded 69 and 72, and Schulte bounced back from a second-round 75 to shoot 70 in the third. Max Lange was 41st at +8, and Lukas Taggart was 44th at +10.

It was a solid day for Mines' individuals along with Allan as Eric Casademont Vinyoles finished under par, wrapping up two rounds of 71 to finish T24th at -1. Zach Shallat was a big mover in the afternoon with his career-low 67, cutting his score to +6 in a 39th-place finish. Carter Lolli ended up T46th at +14.

Colorado Mesa won the team title at -24 ahead of West Texas A&M (-19) and Cameron (-16). West Texas A&M's Luis Palomo won medalist honors at -16, with Lubbock Christian's Hayden Bowman two shots behind in second.

Mines will split its squad next week to play in the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya in Tulum, Mexico, and the Les Fowler Individual in Broomfield, Colo.
